Known as “a town to come home to,” Victor, ID, has more than doubled its population in the last 10 years. Being the southernmost city in Teton Valley, Victor’s close proximity to Jackson, WY and Teton Pass make it the perfect location for those who work “over the hill” in Wyoming. Downtown Victor, ID is a happening place with a market, 2 breweries, a movie theater, icecream, a handfull of shops, an elementary school, a medical clinic, a post office, and variety of other amenities. Also known as the “end of the line” for the Union Pacific railway that originally lead to Yellowstone, Victor is the gateway to the newly completed bike trail that goes all the way to West Yellowstone, MT and hopes to eventually circle through both Yellowstone and Teton National Parks as part of the Yellowstone Grand Teton Loop. In honor of their history with the rail, the city of Victor recently purchased the old railway depot with plans to convert it to their new city hall and a railway museum. This area will also double as the beginning of the bike path that heads north to Driggs and beyond.
With recreation being a main focus for many Victor residents, they have developed Pioneer Park as a large park in the city dedicated to multiple activities, including the valley’s only ice arena, the Kolter Ice Arena, that hosts hockey and skating during the winter months.Moose-Cross is a popular regional cycle-cross competition hosted at the park in late summer. New bike lanes and sidewalks on Main Street help to promote alternative traffic throughout town.
