About Teton Valley

Teton Valley Idaho, home to the small towns of Victor, Driggs, and Tetonia, rests at an elevation of about 6,000' in the southeast corner of the State. The ancient forces that created the wonders of Yellowstone also gave birth to the spectacular Tetons which rise to more than 13,000 feet and frame the valley to the East. To the west the Big Hole Range offers a backdrop for amazingly beautiful sunsets. And through the middle of it all runs the scenic Teton River.

To our local ski areas winter brings world renowned "Champaign Powder" and our summers are famous for warm days and delightfully pleasant nights. The valley is surrounded by tens of thousands of acres of easily accessible National Forest and Wilderness. Just imagine the recreational opportunities this wonderfully beautiful setting offers:

  • Downhill skiing at Grand Targhee and Jackson Mountain Resorts
  • Backcountry skiing on Teton Pass, and in the Big Hole Range
  • Skate skiing at four local machine-maintained trails
  • Snowmobiling
  • Mountain Biking on almost countless trails
  • Hiking
  • Camping
  • Unparalleled fishing in the Teton and Snake Rivers and in numerous lakes and streams
  • Hunting
  • Horseback Riding
  • Golf at one of many valley resorts
  • Canoeing & kayaking the Teton River

In addition to outdoor activities, the valley hosts a number of spas, cafes, boutiques, and coffee shops. There is also a thriving arts community and a number of artists call Driggs home. The local Teton Valley Arts Council holds regular classes in ceramics, dance, drawing, pastels, landscape design, theater, and writing.

The valley community is active, down to earth and friendly - that's probably one reason why Men's Health named this area one of the top outdoor communities. And why we've also been recently recognized in the New York Times, National Geographic, and the Robb Report.

Getting to Teton Valley is easy - daily flights from many major cities fly into nearby Jackson Hole, WY (about 45 minutes away) or the Idaho Falls Regional Airport (about an hour's drive). Alternatively, Driggs hosts a wonderful airport with a 7300'x75' runway that can handle corporate jets and offers a full-service FBO, a great restaurant, and heated hangars.
